The Peanuts gang at Voyager and Revolver think that breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day. Naturally, we were blown away at this awesome photo essay from the New York Times on what kids are eating all over the world.

These early morning cuties got us all thinking about our own favorite breakfast to chow down to before we hit the shops.

Robert loves an egg tart and coffee when he's in a hurry. When he has time, he always has something savory and salty, like a taco loaded up with extra toppings and a grilled pepper.

Our resident European Marta has a simple breakfast that reminds her of home. A huge glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and two slices of french bread with extra virgin olive oil from Spain. Sometimes adding smashed seasonable tomatoes (only if they are fresh and delicious) on top of the olive oil. She also loves chocolate so a cold mug of chocolate milk.

Gabby likes to keep it super healthy at home with an over easy egg on toast and a banana, strawberry, and kale smoothie that she makes herself.

Jacq, like Marta, can't get enought of toast. For her, she likes coffee with a soft-boiled egg and ham on a really good slice of whole wheat bread. She says to make it next level, she adds avacado!

Akari, who is originally from Japan, has a love of onigiri and miso soup. Especially when you take a little extra time to make it kawaii.

As someone notoriously known for dancing while eating, Holly loves going to Eddie's in the Lower Haight for her usual two eggs, hash, bacon, biscuits and bottomless coffee. She dances to all the soulful, cheesy jams they play on rotation there.

Our sitcom writer Kayla, like Jerry Seinfield, loves her some cereal.

For our men's buyer Jonathan, nothing beats an all-American custard donut paired with a really well brewed cup of joe.

What is your ideal breakfast of champions before the daily grind?
